09 Infiniti G37 Lease Rates – August 2009

logo_infinitiUPDATE: G37 lease rates updated. IFS modified the money factor and residual on some of their trims (such as the G37 convertible) to make it more attractive.

FYI – I will be traveling to the Bay Area tomorrow and will be gone for the weekend. Just a reminder that end of the month is probably the best time to pull a deal so get to it! I think the G37s are a good lease this month, so if you can get a good invoice price or lower, I suggest that you pull the trigger on it. Who knows what it will look like in September.

My Take: Word is that the lease rates for the G37 have stayed the same as July (not surprising since that was the case last year as well). It is still a bit early in the month, so I will update this post if there are any changes. For people within driving distance of the Los Angeles area, you might want to read the August 09 Announcements (if you haven’t already) for information on David’s sale price for the G37 coupes. I think it’s a very good price considering so many people have been getting over-invoice pricing. Oh, if you are a “Facebooker”, be sure to join the RIDE with G page!

Check out the new LIST for the recommended leases of the month.

  1. FYI I’m getting $500 over invoice in the Houston area on the G37 sedan. I might try to shoot for invoice, but again I think this might be an area thing.

    • @B. wow that’s tough! definitely try invoice. it’s kind of shocking how different some markets are. Too bad CA is too far for you. LOL.

  2. You can get a G37 Sedan loaded for about $1000 over dealer cost (Below invoice) in Florida. Go to Truecar.com to see the dealer cost.

    • @AH. Truecar.com is not bad, but I find that there are some instances where you can go below that they claim a great “sale price” is. $1000 below invoice is pretty good for the G37 sedan though.

  3. $1000 over dealer cost = $2300 below Invoice. This is a phenomenal deal.
    Example:
G37 Journey with Premium, Navigation and Sport is: $41,315
    Factory Invoice Price is $37,853
    Actual Dealer Cost: $34,544
    Offer here would be: $35,544
Thanks for putting up this website.

  4. AH where in florida do you live i ma looking for a deal like that but lease, which dealer gave you that price… i am looking to lease this car…

  5. Yes, AH, where in Florida did you get this deal? I live in Miami, and I’m in the market for a G. Thanks!

  6. Central Florida dealers. I don’t want to be too specific b/c I have not closed the deal. My lease expires at the end of the month so I’m waiting. Anyway, e-mail your local dealer, tell them you know what dealer cost is per True car and offer them $1K over dealer cost.
BTW…the “Dealer Fee” is $499 to $599. This is negotiable as well. They will tell you its pre-printed on the form. You can put a line through it and initial it. Good luck

  7. AH, let us know when you close the deal.. I’m trying with the South Florida dealers, but they’re not getting anywhere close to that price.. Good luck

  8. G-

I understand that there is $2500 to the dealer in marketing aid, does this apply to both leases and purchases? Also, do you happen to know of anything else in terms of incentives of on the G37S coupe.

And if that 2500 applies to leases, would aiming for 2500 below invoice, including the marketing aid be a fair number to aim for?

    • @D. The marketing cash on the G37s is not for leases unfortunately. That was the case last month as well. I think there is $1000 loyalty cash on them and that’s about it. Right now, David Baker in So Cal is offering his G37 journey coupes for a few hundred under invoice. Depending on your market, you will be seeing invoice or maybe a few hundred above it. We have a lot of competition here in So Cal, so that is why David has had to offer below invoice price. I think if you are able to get invoice or slightly below it, you have got yourself a deal.

  9. Hi G, I just read over on Edmunds that Infiniti have made favorable changes on the convertible and was wondering if you could inquire with Dave Baker if there are any changes on the G37 coupe or sedan. Thanks

  10. In regards to Infiniti’s early lease termination (4 months) my lease end is outside the cutoff date by a week or so. Do you think or know if that I can still take advangtage of this program or will I have to wait it out? Thanks

    • @LO. I would ask the dealer to see if he can pull some strings to make it happen. I don’t see why not, but it really is up to the bank because they would be ones absorbing those payments.

  11. spoke directly to IFS and they said no way, even if it was one day over the cutoff date – methinks that 24 months ago they would have approved such a thing. Nowadays there seems to be no wiggle room. I’ll still try the dealer. if not I’ll wait until January (maturity date)when the 2010 g’s come out and get a bloody good deal on an ’09. cheers

    • @LO. Bummer, maybe it might be a good idea just to wait it out then. The lease rates on the G37s are good, but you might start seeing some cash thrown at them in order to make room for 2010s.

  12. I’m fine with waiting…did you know – here in Hawaii – there are some crazy ADM’s on the premium brands. Acura is nearly $4k, Infiniti nearly $3k and BMW is about the same! Thankfully I used to be in the biz so I was able to remove the ADM from any part of the negotiations with the Infiniti dealer.

  13. okay got some figures….

This includes them eating my last 3 payments for my fx35 @ $590 per month
    G37 journey w/sport/premium/tech/nav/active steer
    cap cost:$43,430
    bank fee:$595
    Total cap:$44025
    cap red:$1765
    net cap:42259.41
    residual @39 months 10k per year: 54%
    Depr: $468.39
    REnt: $86.13
    Tax: 26.13
Monthly pay: 580.65 (includes all fees and taxes)
$2000 down (this excludes $1000 loyalty reduction)

    What do you think G?

    • @LO. I’m a bit confused with your deal since there’s no MSRP price and I’m not even sure if this is a coupe or a sedan. In any case, at first glance, seems very expensive but I’m having problems recalculating your deal on my end so I can’t say for sure. Also, a bit confused with the residual value. You said 39 months/10k miles. Typically, with IFS, 39 month leases are 1% less than 36-month leases. If this is indeed a sedan, then it would make sense. However, you are stating a 10k mile per year. 54% for 39-months is actually for 15k, not 10k. In any case, I’m going off the August numbers since I haven’t found the Sept ones. It would take a seriously big drop in residual value (2%) in Sept for you to end up with 54%. I’ll have to double check with David Baker.

  14. thanks for looking at them. my mistake on the res – 39 months 12k. It is a sedan and it seems to have every bloody option. the $2000 down includes first monthly payment. MSRP (incl ADM) is $47k and change – told you it was nuts here in hawaii. they dont seem to move much off sticker – they negotiate off the ADM – and pay their sales people accordingly. ie with no ADM it would be considered a flat deal. crazyness. on second look it appears as if they are using my initial payment to reduce the cap cost. I have to admire their arrogance. time for me to have a sit down with them.

    • @LO. Wow expensive cars out there! Well I’m getting $568 a month before taxes, using $47,000 as the MSRP and $44025 as the sale price with inception fees (except bank acq fee) would have be to do at signing. When it comes to leasing, there are so many ways you can roll numbers in order to get the desired payments. The key is knowing which fees are taxable in your state and which ones are not. Then you pay those that can’t be taxed up front and pick an choose whether you want to do the same with those that get taxed. The money factor on the G37 isn’t too horrible, so rolling it in isn’t going to kill you financially. I know this sounds like nitpicking, but its really up to you. Some people don’t like the hassle of breaking up all the fees and paying those first, while other just want to drop X amount down and have the dealer figure out the payments based on the agreed price and rates. Overall, considering your location, I think the deal isn’t too horrible since the car is loaded to the teeth. I’m sure a loaded 328i would be much more.

  15. thanks again for looking at the numbers – I’m going to try to get him to drop another grand and if he does it will be bye-bye fx35 and hello g37. and maybe hello to more speeding tickets. the motorcycle cops out here are brutal.

    • if you get it the g37, I’d like to request a photoshoot somewhere with lots of palm trees and the beach. LOL. I miss Hawaii…

  16. managed to get the deal to…$552 per month (incl tax – tax is not paid upfront on leases here), $1800 down (all inception fees incl 1st month). They’re covering last 3 payments on my car ($1770). I think thats as good as I’m going to get it. I dont think any of your readers will be flocking to hawaii to pick up a car anytime soon though! Thanks for having a great site and helping to bring some transparency to the leasing process.
