2010 Mercedes Benz E-Class Lease Rates – August 2009

logo_benzMy Take: Waiting for the E-Class numbers to drop? Keep on waiting. They look practically the same as last month, with the exception of the 24-month terms MF going up a bit. But who cares really, MBs aren’t meant to be leased on short terms anyway. Since its a month older, you might have better luck lowering the sale price. What I would suggest doing right now is to do your initial inquires for the next couple weeks, then wait until the last few days of the month to really push on your negotiations. Best of luck to you, this is a fine car so it’s worth all the effort.

Check out the new LIST for the recommended leases of the month.

    • @rodd. neither. it seems i can’t find the 2009 lease rates on the e-class anymore. I will post them if i come across them.

  1. @G. Thanks, but don’t bother. I’ve heard that the residual is around 40%. What do you think about the following deal for an ML 550? Need to make a choice soon…
    $62k msrp
    $47k price
    36mo, 10k
    $765 plus tax

    • doesn’t look bad. it seems the lease rates seem much better than last month. You know the rates they are using to to calculate this deal? how much do at signing?

  2. Hi G, E550 Coupe/MSRP $63,845; Price@$60,466; 36M/15K/0.00347 MF/55% residual/$7400 down pmt= monthly payment is $998 including local CALIF tax 9.75%. Plus, dealer is also paying 7 months remaining lease pmts from 2007 E550 (5pmts from MB Loyalty/Pull Forward program) totaling $4633. Lse interest rate= 8.328%, but 66 month MBF loan rate=3.9% (w/o dealer reserve mark up). Good deal to just purchase and finance 66M? loan balance thousands less than residual value after 36M. Love this car, may just keep it for good. Thanks!

    • @dan. I think my main concern with buying the e-class right now is that it’s 1st year production on a newly redesigned vehicle and may have some quality issues. not sure if you want to get stuck with it should you decide to buy it. now, the leasing doesn’t look very attractive at all. I think too much money down and the payments are still pretty crazy, specially with our wonderful sales tax. MBFS picking up your payments on your current car is nice though. If I REALLY wanted the car, I think I would opt to buy it and maybe get extended warranty on it just in case.

  3. Any info on the lease rates for the 2010 4Matics? I heard that they are higher than the rear wheel drives.

    • @paul. sorry paul. that’s all the E-class numbers I’m seeing this month. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the MF higher on the 4matics, that was the case with the 09s.

  4. Does anyone know what the 36 month residual is for 12K miles for the E350?

Mercedes leasing has a program where you can buy the miles anywhere during the lease. I’ll probably go over the 12K miles, but if it’s a lower monthly payment and I can buy them for $0.20 a mile later, then it’s probably better to go with the 12K mile lease.

    Thanks.

    • @ryan. you add 2% to the posted residual for 12k miles and 3% to the posted residual if you want 10k miles.

  5. Just leased a 2010 E350 with standard Sport Package, Premium Package 1, and upgraded Wheel Package. Artic White and Almond. MSRP was $54,175. Cap Cost was 49845. Residual Value 30338.00. Money Factor .00270 39 months @ $716.66 with 15K miles per year. Total out of pocket w/First months payment, acquisition fee, license fees and doc fees was $2077. Your thoughts??? Thanks for the help.

    Tony

    • @tony. I think you did well despite the bad money factor. I recalculated your deal and I get exactly $716.66 per month before taxes and your inception fees are pretty much in line with what to expect from MBUSA. Overall, you made the best of a tough lease rate. Congratulations on the new ride!
