2010 Audi TT Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_audiMy Take: It’s official. Audi FS is run by a bunch of weirdos. In August, the MF was under .00200 for most TTs. In September, the MF jumps to over .00200 and this month, it comes back down (even lower than August) below .00200. I know LJ ordered a 2010 this month, so see if your dealer is willing to lock the rate for October and also give you the option to get on the November rates if they improve. Lots of dealers allow this, so this shouldn’t be too difficult. This isn’t a “highly recommended” lease by the way. For those that considering this ride a “must have”, this month is certainly better than August or September, but a 2009 SLK would probably run you cheaper.

  1. Thanks for the update. I will call the dealer as you suggest. My car was shipped 2 weeks ago and should arrive at the dealer by Nov 9. I like the car but not too much as to take on a bad lease deal 🙂 . BMW is offering very good deals on the 328X coupe and that is also a car I like.

    • @LJ. I think the TT is overpriced. In general, I think all Audi’s are overpriced. However, this month, the A4, A5s are looking pretty yummy.

  2. Agree, probably overpriced as most European cars. I have had BMWs, VW, Volvos and also my fair dose of American and Japanese cars. Toyota by far the best value ever, but not fun to drive at all and interior is and looks cheap, so there is also a subjective aspect to this stuff or leasing a car. Within the specs of what I am looking for: sporty (but not a track car), comfortable for 2-3 hrs rides, AWD, small… there are not too many that show up in the category and if the dealer gives me a good 5% of MSRP, uses the MF listed here and keep his promise of using a residual of 52% versus the 49% listed here… I will bite the bullet as I convinced myself that would be a good deal :-). If not, I am happy to walk away and rest the search, probably taking AWD out of the list and open up my range of options. I just know I do not want another BMW or Volvo or VW… nothing wrong just want to try something different for 3 years.

Average time on the lot for a TT is over 200 days… not really a “hot selling” car yet dealers are not very keen to offer incentives, which puzzles me.

    • @LJ I think dealers always like to give you the feeling that inventory is always low or cars are in high demand. This is to make sure you feel a sense of urgency to pull the trigger on their “deal”. I don’t like being rushed and I always have lots of alternate options in hand. I find that overpaying for a car you love doesn’t really nearly as good as getting a great deal on a car you like. Those payments starts wear on you month after month. I remember the first time I got into a 3-series. Boy was I happy! Then that $550 monthly bill came every month and it became rather dreadful for about 2 years.

  3. Well, I just walked away from the deal 🙂 the dealer insisted on charging MSRP + around $500… and the MF was o.oo21 (a bit higher than published here)… I have excellent credit. side by side, same down-payment and almost same MSRP of $47,560, the BMW 328X coupe is $180/mo cheaper and just under $500/mo. So I got a bit tired of the attitude of this specific audi dealer, playing the game of scarcity and walked away. I am in the market for a $50,000 car and I should be able to get a good deal under this economy.

Thanks for the posts here, the info here was very helpful. Hopefully it will help me negotiate the BMW or whatever car I choose to get.

    cheers,

    • @LJ. I’m glad you were able to walk away from it. I think there’s definitely better options out there. I think the 328x is a fine car so maybe you should revisit that? I’d recommend the G37x, but I’m not sure how you feel about the MPG on that ride. Haha. I’m getting about 18mpg city, on a good day. Haahaa. I’ll keep on posting, so hopefully you find something you like down the road! Best of luck!
