2011-12 Infiniti Lease Rates – September 2011

There have been a lot of changes across the board with IFS lease rates. 2% to 3% drops in residual, but money factors were adjusted, so expect numbers to be comparable to last month or better. More 2012 models will be rolling out in the coming months so negotiate accordingly.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

  1. Hello G,

Been looking at a G37 coupe journey loaded. MSRP is $46,650, i got a sale price of about $41,700 through VPP. Terms are 39 month/12k miles, im from nj, so sales tax is 7%. anyway, dealer gave me a lease payment of $464 per month with $0 cap reduction, $1500 due at signing. Does this seem right, or can I do better, and if so, how much better. Thanks in advance, Gus

  2. What do you think will happen with Infiniti’s lease program in Oct? With long-term interest rates dropping, do you think money factors will follow?

    • @jon. In my opinion, interest rates have very little to do with leases. Banks like to mess with the interest rates whenever the residual values are high. It seems to me that banks know that for every car out there, there’s a price range people are willing to pay for. For example, IFS probably knows that people will go to BMW if they price their G37 leases at the same range as the 335i. Therefore, IFS undercuts the 335i by offering more car for less money. As time passes by and residuals drop, IFS will adjust the MF to keep the payments around the same ballpark as they were the previous month. Sometimes, if they need to drum up sales, the will drop it more or introduce lease cash to move cars. In order words, I would say that sales numbers from previous months have more to do with improved lease rates than long-term interest rates.

  3. Thanks for the insight. Makes a lot of sense. Site is great and has helped me through this process quite a bit! Thanks!
