2013 Acura Lease Rates – April 2013

YES! Acura rates look way better this month than they did last. Residuals stayed the same but MFs dropped across the board. Not a bad time to lease an Acura right now. I am almost tempted to kill off my Hyundai Sonata lease and get into something else this weekend, before paying my final DMV registration for that stupid car.

  1. These rates are pretty good this month. I just sold my leased 2012 Acura TL with Tech package to a coworker on Tuesday as I wait for my Jeep Grand Cherokee to arrive at the dealership. I have leased two Acuras and ended up with positive equity in both, one on a trade in and one on a private sale.

BTW I sold it without having a ton of hoops to jump through. Basically Acura financial didn’t care how they got their payoff, just that they got it. Buyer financed through a credit union, the CU wrote Acura a check for the payoff and then wrote me a separate check for the difference in the negotiated sale price.

    • That is very nice Adam. I remember back in the day (2006) Honda Financial Services wanted me to payoff the car and then be able to sell it as a private party. I had an Acura CL Type-S at the time.

The process you describe above avoids the double taxation that occurs when the original owner pays off the car, and the new owner paying for it again after the transfer.

    • Agreed with Zamo here. That really makes things a lot easier. Tempted to lease an Acura next…but I wanna see what the CLA looks like. Hmmmmm…decisions…decisions.

      • Hey G, just finalized my lease for my Jeep Grand Cherokee on Wednesday night. What section can I show off my deal and pics of my beauty? I know you don’t normally post american cars, but I think I did pretty well. I’m only commenting back here because your site helped me get the lease before this one (my 2012 Acura TL that I just sold).

        Thanks

        • Hi adam. Congrats! Plz send pics to thewall(at)ridewithg.com. I post all cars so a jeep would be a great addition to the group! Thanks!!

  2. Acura numbers looked so good this month I just left my dealership with a 2013 TL Tech. Got the $2000 dealer cash & the $1500 conquest cash. 56% residual on the tech package, MF same as listed above. Beautiful car!

  3. Numbers might be good, but Acura still has a long road ahead to compete in the luxury market. Won’t there be a new TL released for 2014?

Sucks that you hate your Hyundai so much G.. are you that eager to get out of it or can you wait and see what the Q50 lease rates will be like?

    • You know, I don’t quite hate the Sonata. I just feel disappointed that I gave it a chance and it fell short. The quality and enjoyment just isn’t there and that just bums me out every time I make that monthly payment. I probably won’t do anything this month. The soonest I will even attempt to do something with it will be in Oct/Nov. I haven’t driven the Sonata as much so I am thinking I could break-even on a trade-in. I think I’ll just wait around to see what peaks my interest next. So far the CLA is winning, but that’s a 1st gen model it’s likely I won’t get one. It is also likely that I will skip the first gen Q50. I’m pretty tired of leasing 1st gen models. I would probably wait 2-3 years after that generation has been introduced because would consider leasing one. First gens are typically disappointing in more ways than one.

  4. Can someone comment as to whether or not these rates are still in effect for May? I’m particularly interested in the ILX 6-Speed.
