Nick: That quote actually looks pretty decent, specially if it includes taxes. The most I’ve seen off MSRP thus far is 1800, but on a 3.2 model. So 1645 is pretty darn good for a 09.

Kyle: I’m a bit confused about the cap reduction. That’s 3605 + 940 at signing? If so, you’re overpaying. Also you can probably shave a few hundred more off the MSRP. Nick’s got like $1645 off MSRP on his, and his is a cheaper model. So I think you can do a bit better.

G, would definitely appreciate your thoughts on the following:

’09 A4, premiumm plus
MSRP: $37,900
Negotiated Price: $36,500
36 mo lease, 10k per year
$940 upfront charges; $3605 cap reduction
$475/mo (includes tax and audi care)
Residual of $22,500

I’ve negotiated the price, but am trying to negotiate the financing; do you see any wiggle room here? Many thanks in advance,

Nick: I haven’t heard or read anything that indicates any changes so far. As a matter of fact, all of the quotes I’ve looked over (as of yesterday) indicate that nothing’s changed, for now.

G – I heard some rumblings that Audi has revised their September 2008 lease rates on the 2009 A4. Is there any truth to that?

Linda: The new quote doesn’t look very good. Seems you are barely getting $1000 off MSRP. I would try to work for maybe $1000 over invoice, or about $1600 off MSRP. That shouldn’t be too unrealistic. I was just emailing another one of my readers about 5 minute ago. She got about $1800 off MSRP on an A4 3.2 Premium Plus model. I am pretty sure she’s also in the state of NY (she’s paying for the sales tax up front as well).
If you can get that, expect payments to be around $521 a month, with about the same at signing. Then you can add AudiCare. Which should add about $10 more a month.
