@alex bello. Hey there Alex. Thanks for checking in. Glad you like the site! I’m having a little bit of a problem crosschecking your deal since I don’t have the MSRP, sale price and the MF and Residual being used to calculate. I also don’t know if this is a Premium or a Premium Plus with or without Auto Transmission. The residual values change depending on the trim, so its really important to have that information. I will say this though, if the car’s MSRP price was in fact $3800 and the dealer sold it to you at MSRP, your payments would be $533 with inception fees (which is about what you have there) plus your sales tax. If sold at invoice, would be about $460+tax. I think you got somewhere in between invoice and MSRP. Maybe about $500-$1000 over invoice. This would make it a “so-so” deal. Now this is all speculation since I don’t have all the numbers. But this should give you some idea where you stand.

Hey great site! I had never seen anything like it online before.

This is my first lease I need want to know if I am getting a good deal.

Locked it up last night, and driving a new car this morning. My deal ended up as this —

Monthly $460 (plus tax) or $504 per month (@9.75% sales tax)

+2000 miles per year (12K total per yr or 42K total)

You thought I could do about $500 better. I needed the extra miles, and got $20 less than what you wrote above.

Hopefully, I grinded him enough, and did you and the site proud!

@henry. I think you can negotiate the sale price further. I think there’s about a $2500 spread between MSRP and invoice. I’m not 100% sure how easy it will be to go below invoice on the Avant, since they are limited production vehicles. That wouldn’t discourage me from trying to shoot for $1000 below invoice though. Haaha.

@jack. when it comes to 18k leases, you will need to consult with your dealer regarding the extra 3000 miles per year. Any mileage above 15k per year is calculated based on a pre-negotiated “per mile” rate. For example, if your “per mile” rate is $0.10 per mile and you need 3000 miles per year, your residual value will drop by $300 per year. Consult your dealer for the exact rate.
As far as your deal goes, I think you can do better. You should AT LEAST shoot for invoice price WITH AudiCare ($740) included in the sale price.

@steve. Alright, here’s what I got based on your numbers…

MSRP 39,200
Sale 36595
MF .0007
RV 46%
Term 42 months
Monthly $480 (plus tax) or $527 per month (@9.75% sales tax)

Audi’s Acquisition fees is around $625. Your DMV reg is probably gonna hover around $450 or so. That puts you are slightly around $1100 with CA tire tax and county fees. Factor in yoru 1st month payment and your inception fees is about $1600.
With the dealer discounting you $500, that means you are paying about $1140 towards cap reduction ($3240-$500-$1600=$1140). By applying that, I get about $499, which is pretty darn close the $500 per month quote you got. My opinion is this. Your sale price is probably around $500 below invoice, but with the AudiCare thrown in ($740), that’s about a $1240 below invoice. I think you can still knock off another $500 personally.

On a personal note, I think its a bit expensive to lease an A4 compared to the competition. It is cheaper than before, but still expensive overall.

G – what a great site! I’m trying to negotiate for the lowest monthly payments on a lease. Audi A4 Quattro Avant, Premium Plus. No extras. The selling price quoted was $38,853 with MSRP of $40,075. 36 mo, 12k miles, $625 Acq fee, cap reduction (cash down) $1340. Together with other inception fees – $2894.75 drive off. Monthy lease – $587.45. Do I still have any room to negotiate? Thanks much.
