2011 Lexus Lease Rates – July 2011

Lexus lease rates remain unchanged from June. Sale prices don’t seem to have come down much either. There doesn’t seem to be much in terms of incentives either. Take the IS250 for example, the only cash available to customers is $1000 for current owners and $750 for members of the military. Other than that, not much available to those looking to lease a Lexus for the 1st time.

Not even financing looks great right now, which is 2.9% for 60 months. In contrast, IFS is offering 1.9% for 60 months on the G37, Acura is offering 1.9% for 60 months on the TL, MB is offering 2.9% for 66 months on the C300 and Audi is also offering 1.9% for 60 months on the A4.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2011 Lexus IS250 AT Sedan
MSRP – $35,340
Sale Price – $32,911
Monthly – $426+ tax
RWG Rating – 84.7

  1. Hi G, questions about a lexus RX 350 lease
my dealer still has some 2010 left and I wanted to lease a 2010 RX 350 just because I want to lower my monthly payments is that a good idea or am i better off leasing a 2011 RX 350
    2) I might be moving to CA , I am in Texas should i just wait till I move to CA or I can lease RX here and move , in terms of cost will it be cheaper to lease in CA or in Texas cause i am moving in the next 4 months

    Thanks in Advance

    • Wow that’s rare! Someone is actually not fleeing CA? LOL. All kidding aside, I would wait until you have moved to CA before you lease. TX taxes are calculated differently than in CA, so there will be some savings there. TX leases calculate taxes based on 100% of the car’s value, whereas in CA, it is added into the payment on a monthly basis, which means only the depreciation and interest is being taxed. That could potentially save you thousands.

As for 2011 vs 2010. I can’t say. 2010 might make sense if the MF is reasonable, but I can’t say for sure since I don’t have 2010 numbers on hand. In any case, I would recommend waiting it out and pulling the trigger on the new car after you head West.

  2. Thanks G ,

I fled CA in 2003 and did a full circle , am still hesitant …even though I have a job offer in hand … things are bad in SF bay area , I am going to wait 6 months before I pack my bags and head west mean time I fly in Mon and fly back Fri

  3. Hi- just got the numbers below on a 11 ES350 (Nav with tint and spoiler) – Thoughts? I am in TX and LFS has a special on the taxes( just 1% tax instead of the full 6.25% – so that saved a couple thousand):

    MSRP:43061 before tint/spoiler
    Sales Price: 40798
    Gross Cap: 42085.03
Cap Reduction: 3425.08 (1,000 LFS loyalty cash + positive trade equity)
    Adj Cap: 38659.98
    Residual: 24975.38
    MF: .0020 ($4581.80)
    36 month lease
    12000 miles
    PMT: 507.40

  4. @MK. It’s not a horrible deal. But it’s not the best. From a “deal hunter’s” perspective, I wouldn’t do it. From a “I want a ES350 and nothing else will do” perspective, I’ve seen worse. For a TX lease, its not bad at all. but your MF seems padded which ads like $13 a month. Plus I’m not a big believer in paying down your monthly payments. However, your tax reduction is significant (a little over $2000 or so I believe), so it ends up making the lease tolerable and better than it could have been.

  5. Thanks!

In your opinion – Is that a good sales price for the car before any rebates etc…or could it be lower?

  6. Here in my neck of the woods, I’m seeing about 8% off MSRP. You are at about 5%. I don’t think you will be able to get SoCal prices in Texas, so 5% is actually quite good considering the supply shortage Lexus is experiencing still. You can always try to push them a bit more, but don’t be surprised if they don’t budge. They probably don’t have enough inventory to be giving huge discounts to customers right now.

    • @maleeh. If you don’t see what you are looking for, that means I don’t have those numbers. You will probably need to talk to your local dealer and see if they are willing to share those with you.
