2011-12 BMW Lease Rates – November 2011

As expected BMW residuals have dropped and MFs have been lowered in order to compensate. Expect Nov numbers to carry over into December. However, don’t be too surprised if BMWFS decides to change things mid-month. They’ve been known to do this, but it isn’t done frequently. Looking at the BMW 328i sedan, You will see a slight drop in the sale price, plus you can get a $1000 loyalty rebate if you are a returning customer. There is also a $1500 Build Out rebate. I am not sure what that is so please ask your dealer for details. Remember to head over to Edmunds.com for more information on rebates.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2011 BMW 328i Sedan

  1. I really miss the 24 month residuals for BMW and MBZ as I have negotiated deals after seeing some of those high residuals on short term leases. Any possiblilty of including them? Thank you again.

  2. There seems to be an ongoing belief that I have numbers that I don’t disclose, that is generally untrue. There are instances were I am given too much info and I am asked not to post it. In cases like that I do make it known that I have additional information and that I can provide via a “confirmation”. This means you need to go to your dealer and ask for that information, then I will confirm their numbers. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case this month 🙁

  3. Oooh, sorry. Just saw the note above about requests. Looking to turn in my MINI and lease a new one and having a hell of a time finding the rates without just asking the dealer.

  4. Don’t worry. I hear you. Lease rates are not easy to get because it’s a tool for dealerships to make money. Brokers have been more inclined to share this info with me, but I have had to promote them in exchange for these numbers. It’s a trade-off in order to get info out to the masses.

  5. FYI:

    Owner Loyalty Program Enhancement

The BMW Mission to Drive Sales Event is off to a fantastic start…… a .00075 money factor reduction will now be offered to those BMW FS Lease and OwnersChoice customers maturing between Dec 1st and February 29th. What’s the hook? The consumer must take delivery on or before January 3rd, 2012 in order to take advantage of this offer and it is NOT LOCKABLE….. This enhancement, when combined with the existing loyalty offering, provides customers with substantial savings. For example, in the case of the 5 Series, the amount is over $3,000. This tangible benefit is what is needed to get these current customers to say “YES” to a new BMW in 2011.

“Year End FS Lease Loyalty Reductions can be combined with the existing BMW Loyalty Program. Combinations can utilize: The .00030
money factor BMW Loyalty Rate Reduction, resulting in a combined.00105 money factor reduction for Lease / Pre-Pay Lease contracts.
The 0.75% BMW Loyalty Rate Reduction, resulting in a combined 2.50% rate reduction for OwnersChoice contracts. Or The $1,000
Loyalty Cash plus the Year End FS Lease Loyalty Reduction of .00075 (Lease / Pre-Pay Lease) or 1.75% (OwnersChoice).”

  6. @justin. 48-month leases have no support from BMWFS, the MF is generally much higher. BMW provides lower MFs on 24 and 36 month leases. The residual is also lower on the 48-month lease. I recommend sticking to the 36-month leases.

  7. Hey G,

Is this for 10K miles or 15K? I believe its for 15K but dealer told me that the rates shown are for 10K?

    • @Ryan. Please tell me you didn’t actually show the dealer my website. LOL. Yes the numbers posted are for 15k. I always post 15k numbers unless it’s noted that they are 12k. I don’t usually post 10k numbers.

  8. Oh no, sir! Haha, I simply asked them to calculate numbers for me based on a MF of 0.0009 (I qualify for the Owner Enhancement Program) and 53% residual (X6M). LOL, they never mentioned to me that the residual is actually 56% for 10K miles….haha those crooks 😀

BTW G, please allow me to express my gratitude to you for your wonderful website.

  9. Oh G, forgot to ask you, how many deposits am I allowed to put down to reduce that MF? If I recall, the maximum is 7 correct? So that should reduce the MF to 0.0009 – (7*0.00007) = 0.00051?! LOL, free money…..

  10. G, I think you made a mistake. I called several dealerships and all of them confirmed residual is at 53% for 10K miles. This is for the X6M. Maybe the numbers for the other models are accurate but I think X5M and X6M might be off.

  11. G, Was at a local BMW dealer and there seems to be a special 27month lease program for the 2011 328xi running now until the December 31st. Do you have the money factors and residuals for this? Thanks.

    • @robert. Sorry, this is all I have.
@ryan. no worries about the “spamming”. Its not really spam if its a legitimate question. Sorry I didn’t get to it. I’ve been quite hectic these past 5 days. Family dinners, LA Auto Show, basketball leagues, shopping for thanksgiving grub. the list is endless. Glad your questions were answered . 🙂

  12. LOL sorry for spamming G. Anyway ti delete my posts? But yes, you are right. 53% is for 15K. And I got my answer already for the security deposit question. Thanks.
