November 2008 Lease Rate for 09 BMW Models

My Take: Finally! The comprehensive list of 09 BMW lease rates is out! The 1-series practically remains unchanged, but BMWFS seems to have cut the money factors a bit on the 3-series, with the residual values remaining unchanged. That good news for those looking to get into a the 3-series. The 1-series is worth a look still due to it’s unusually high residual value. Other notable models include the 528i and the X5. Please keep in mind that BMW dealers seem to be oblivious to the fact that there is a recession going on, so they won’t exactly lease you the car for “dirt cheap”. If you were hoping for that, you will be sorely disappointed. Now, if you are looking to buy, there is 0.9% financing available on select 09 models so it may be worth considering a purchase.

October 2008 Lease Rates for All 09 BMW Models

My Take: Here are the lease rates for the 2009 BMW models. The 2008 models should be the same as last month, here’s a quick link to that post. I’ve picked out a selection of cars that I feel has a good balance of high residual value and lower money factor, compared to the rest of the BMW lineup. You can check out THE LIST later to compare these numbers with other models. As usual, the 1-series’ money factor is getting no love from the folks at BMW. While the 3-series seems to have well-rounded numbers. The upside to the 1-series is that it has a much higher residual value, which seems to help counter the high money factor.

My Take: There isn’t any lease support for the 1-series still. I’ve taken ou the 48mo and 60mo lease rates since you should NEVER lease for such a long time. The better lease right now would probably be the 128i since it has the higher residual and the lower price tag.

Surprisingly enough, 24mo leases are looking much better than the 36mo leases. Unfortunately, the 1-series does not lease for invoice, so expect your payments to be more on the high $400 to low $500.

My Take: No lease support for July, again. I saw a 135i coupe last night and I must say, that thing is SMALL! Two adults looked like sardines in there, while the backseat is nonexistent. It’s also not very attractive if you ask me. The 3-Series presents a better lease value at the moment; more room, better looks, less cash.

My Take: At first glance, the 5-series, 6-series and some of the 7-series have decent residual values along with lower money factors. At least they are much better than what Mercedes Benz is currently offering. You might want to hold out on the 1-series still. The residual values are strong, but the money factors are still too high in my opinion. Hopefully they start to drop some after the summer.

My Take: Ewww. Love the 3.5l engine, hate everything else. What’s worse, this car could run you more than a 3-series. How silly is that? There’s absolutely no lease support on this vehicle, so if you want it, you’re going to be paying for it.
