2012-13 Acura Lease Rates – July 2012

Noticed some drops in residual on some models (MDX, TSX, TL) and some increases on another (RDX). ILX stays the same, but MF drops. Taking the TL as an example, a 1% drop in residual with no drop in MF to compensate seems to indicate that the deal this month is slightly worse. However, if you factor the $2000 dealer cash and the $1000 conquest/loyalty cash, you are looking at some room to make this deal the same (or better) than last.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2012 ACURA TL BASE
MSRP – $36,600
Sale Price – $32,000
Monthly – $390+ tax

2012-13 Acura Lease Rates – June 2012

ILX Premium lease numbers are out and it boasts a nice 60% residual. TrueCar market data indicates that most ILXs are selling for about MSRP…some slightly over. Not too surprised there. Either way, I’d wait it out a bit until prices drop a notch. The TSX and the TL should still lease fairly well this month so not all is lost. Remember that new model usually come at a premium so if you want to have the newest and shiniest toy in your block, expect to pay for it.

Below I have a sample calculation on the TL. The assumption is that you are getting the car at around dealer cost. There is $2000 in dealer cash and you may also qualify for either the $1000 conquest or loyalty cash. They look like they can be combined so I recommend tapping into that. If you can swing this, you could end up with a pretty nice ride for a reasonable payment.

2012-13 Acura Lease Rates – May 2012

Some changes on certain models. The usual RV and MF drop. Nothing to get too worked up about. 2013 RDX numbers posted and they look mediocre.

In general, most Acuras are leasing well right now. There’s a lot of dealer cash floating around so deals can be had. I still think Infiniti holds a slight edge with lower overall lease payments, but if you like having superior lease program, I think nothing beats an Acura.

2012 Acura Lease Rates – April 2012

No change for April. 2012 RDX is on it’s way out. It will be replaced by a 6-cylinder version that’s more fuel efficient. Overall, I think Acura is struggling with sales, so it’s a good opportunity for you to get a good deal one. TL dealer cash is still the same as last month. RDX gets $1000. TSX has about $500 and ZDX has around $2000.

The RDX looks promising as it hovers just below the 90 RWG rating I normally recommend for leases. It wouldn’t really take much effort on your part to get this lease into the 90+ territory (an additional $100 off the sale price easily gets you into the 90+ RWG territory).

In addition to the RDX, I crunched numbers for the ZDX out of curiosity…this truck is getting $2000 in dealer cash right now. TrueCar is indicating about 10.5% off MSRP in SoCal region. The dealer cost is somewhere around 14.7% (includes the $2000 dealer cash plus holdback). If I were in the market for this truck, I’d shoot for somewhere in between 10.5% and 14.7%. The ZDX has a lot of potential this month.

2012 ACURA RDX AWD BASE

2012 ACURA ZDX BASE
MSRP – $46,905
Sale Price – $41,000 ($2000 dealer cash applied + some holdback; about 12.6% off MSRP)
Monthly – $472+ tax
RWG Rating – 96.3
