2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – July 2013

July numbers look the same it seems. Not seeing anything different than the last couple of months.
I’m still really surprised they are leasing out the Tucson still. Why would you lease one of those when you can opt for the Santa Fe? Baffles the mind I tell you.

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – June 2013

June numbers unchanged from May. I don’t really have much to say about Hyundai in general. The longer I “own” this brand, the more disappointed I get. Yes, I got a recall notice again and I have ZERO motivation to schedule the repairs (but will need to since it sounds kind of serious). Can’t waiting until December to unload the Sonata.

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – May 2013

May numbers are odd. I’m seeing some increases in residual for cars such as the Azera and Genesis (with increased MFs). Others get no change in residual but increases in MF. Some get no change in residual and decrease in MF. Pretty much all over the place. The downside is that I am not seeing much in terms of cash incentives for leases (per Edmunds), but buying a Hyundai isn’t half bad. There are special interest rates and customer cash available right now. However, whether you would want to buy a Hyundai, that’s a whole different story.

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – April 2013

April numbers have mainly improved for most Hyundai models. I’m seeing very significant residual value increases across the board. Some models did get a bump in money factor, but a big number of them actually got a mf reduction as well. That typically means lower monthly payments compared to last month.

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – March 2013

Most numbers stayed the same. There have been some MF reductions on models such as the Sonata SE Turbo which is always a welcomed sight. Hyundai is also providing Loyalty, Conquest, Military, College Grad and retail cash for their customers. Fairly aggressive offering if you ask me.

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – February 2013

Hyundai has not changed the rates from January. Many incentives are available, specially for the Sonata (we are talking Loyalty, Conquest, Military and College Grad).

On the VW post, I alluded to the fact that my Sonata has not held up too well in terms of interior wear and tear. The car is about 22 months old and it has had it’s shares of squeaks and scratches. The interior materials are not horrible, but I have a huge issue with the steering wheel. The Sonata’s steering wheel composed of leather, soft-touch plastic and a “grippy” rubberized surface near the steering controls (hands-free and the trip computer buttons). This rubberized surface is very prone to scratching, which makes it a very bad material to use on a place where nearly 100% of the time, you hands, nails & rings must make contact with it. As you can imagine, mine has its fair share of scuffs and it is really unsightly. Apparently, I am not the only person experiencing this. Mine looks pretty close to the one posted on those forums. It is likely that this will be my last Hyundai for a while.
