2011 Volvo Lease Rates – October 2010

logo_volvoMy Take: Rman850r comes through yet again with some Volvo numbers for this month. There is $500 loyalty cash on all 2011 Volvos plus an additional $500 in dealer cash on the S80, C70, and C30 which can be combined with leases. Certainly not the best looking numbers in the industry, bit I’ve seen worse. Volvo really needs to drop that money factor down by a good 0.001 points in order to get more leases going. The products have been improved and they are actually more desirable now, but as a lease it’s not working too well. Alternatively, it looks more attractive since you could BUY a Volvo by financing it at 2.9% financing over 72 months, which isn’t half bad. But a straight up cash purchase would be a wiser move.

On a different note, I LOVED the XC60 when I saw it at the OC Auto Show. It’s so stylish and the interior quality is superb. Light years away from what they used to be less than 10 years ago. From the outside, it looks sleek and stylish. From the inside, it’s spacious, comfortable, modern and ergonomic; what a true crossover SUV should be.  It isn’t overly luxurious, but it isn’t cheap either; maybe comparable to current BMW interiors.

2011 Volvo Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_volvoMy Take: Thanks again to Rman850r and the folks over at North Point Volvo in Alpharetta, GA for sharing the Volvo numbers for the month of September. XC60 numbers should be coming at a later date, so please stay tuned. As you can see, the rates are not exactly very attractive this month, but there is dealer cash available (special financing is also available, but you cannot combine the two) to help offset some of the costs. Still, not the strongest of leases if you ask me.

2010/11 Volvo Lease Rates – August 2010

logo_volvoMy Take: Rman850r has been kind enough to confirm the August numbers for Volvos. There should still be plenty of time to get one before the end of the month. It is rare that lease rates carry over for three consecutive months, so I expect some drops in residual for September. Remember that Volvos also come with free scheduled maintenance which helps save you some cash.

For the past couple months, Rman850r has been kind enough to share these number with us, so I’d like to give special thanks to him and the great folks at North Point Volvo in Alpharetta, GA for providing these numbers to shoppers. For those looking for Volvos in the Atlanta area, please contact Mark Kops. He is the General Manager and is also acting as the Sales Manager at the moment. Many folks on Google Maps gave North Point Volvo glowing reviews, so it’s a great sign that this dealership does more things right than wrong.

2010 Volvo Lease Rates – June 2010

logo_volvoMy Take: Not exactly the most attractive lease out there. Actually, it down right sucks. I would recommend looking at something else like a A3, GTI or Mazda3. I’m gonna try to get my hands on the XC60’s numbers this month. I hold some high hopes for that ride. The “ads” have shown it could be a decent lease, but we’ll see about that. Four years of free maintenance really makes leasing a Volvo worry-free.

Volvo’s Safe + Sound Program

Volvo is currently providing the Safe + Sound program from Sept 1st through Sept 30th on their 2010 vehicles. Here are some of the details involving the program…

The Safe + Sound Coverage Plan offers you exceptional value and financial security that goes beyond crumple zones and airbags – it’s the security that only Volvo offers.

It’s “Safe” because it’s from Volvo, and it’s “Sound” because you’ll be driving your Volvo virtually worry-free for five years. Here’s what you get with our new best-in-class coverage plan:

5 Years 60,000 Mile Warranty
5 Years Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance
5 Years Wear and Tear Coverage
5 Years Volvo On Call Roadside Assistance

The Safe + Sound Coverage Plan from Volvo. Because you should feel as secure purchasing a new Volvo, as you do driving one.

The Volvo Safe + Sound Coverage Plan is a U.S.-specific program and is valid only when repairs are performed at an authorized U.S. Volvo Retailer subject to all applicable exclusions or limitations. It applies to eligible 2010 Model Year U.S. specification Volvo vehicles purchased in the U.S. between September 1st and September 30th, 2009 (excluding fleet vehicles.)

Eligible models include:

2010 C30, C70, S40, S80, V50, V70, XC60, XC70, XC90. In other words, their entire 2010 line up.

This program is actually quite comprehensive since the warranty extends an extra year and/or about 10,000 extra miles compared to other luxury brands. I sweeten the deal that much more, Volvo is also providing Wear and Tear coverage such as break pads, rotors and wipers (like BMW does). Pretty much what BMW does (and what Audi used to do), but for a longer term.

DO NOT LEASE 09 Volvo C30 Lease Rates for January 2009

MY TAKE: I’m sure some of you have started to see the C30 on the street by now. It’s that ugly looking hatchback from Volvo. It even comes in olive green! Nothing says “puke” like a Volvo C30 in olive green. Anyway, if you were thinking of leasing this “wonderful” little hatchback, you may want to try some independent banks because Ford Credit very eager to lease any of these little rides apparently.
