09 Infiniti FX Lease Rates – March 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: There is around $3000 dealer cash available on the FX35 this month, so factor that into your negotiations. The rates are practically unchanged, so it isn’t any better than last months. Now, couple of things for you California residents. Our sales tax goes up April as I mentioned in a previous post, but our car registrations will ALSO go up (double) beginning May 19th. To top things off, we’re rasing our gasoline tax by another 12 cents. So yeah, think long and hard as to what car and when you plan to lease your next ride. We’re talking hundreds of dollars in savings if you pick the right one.

November 2008 Lease Rats for 08 Infiniti M35 and 09 Infiniti FX

My Take: The M35 seems to have a lot of rebates available so you can probably a get a hefty discount. One thing keep in mind is that the M35 leases better at the 36 month and 48 month terms due to a discount on the money factor. There is also 0.9% financing for up to 72 months so that is also a good alternative to leasing. The FX isn’t seeing much of a discount or any lease support at the moment. Still a relatively new SUV, so I’m not very surprised. I would recommend holding out until next year, to see if the numbers improve.

October 2008 Lease Rates for 08/09 FX50, IS350, Odyssey, Impreza WRX and ML350

My Take: One word sums this bunch…UNINSPIRING. Residuals are mediocre to pathetic, while the money factor is WAY too high. I’m just bundling these lease rates together since it’s pointless to analyze the numbers. After looking at lease rates monthly for six months (yes folks! RIDE with G is six months old!!! WOOT!) I can pretty much tell whats worth the time and what’s not. It’s a shame too since I really like the FX50 and the IS350.

September 2008 Lease Rate for 09 Infiniti FX

My Take: There rates on the FX this month are not exactly great, but there is $4000 in loyalty cash available to current Infiniti customers. That should make a pretty big difference in payments. Cash expires 9/30/2008.

Infiniti FX50, faster than a speeding…Mustang GT? Wow.

It may seem like I’m constantly pimping Infiniti on my site. I’m not. Sure, I do have my eyes set on a G37, after all, you ARE RIDING with G, right? 🙂 In any case, I spent some time reading about the latest and greatest FX50 and this snip-it from C&C about the new 2009 FX really caught my eye:

“We saw 60 mph flash past in 5.0 seconds in our FX50S, with the quarter-mile dispatched in 13.6 seconds at 104 mph. That’s quicker than a Mustang GT through the quarter-mile, and within 0.1 second of our quickest BMW 335i.”

One word: WOW. That’s freakishly insane fast, for a SUV. Its like having a sports car with massive cargo space. Word to the fellas out there, this is YOUR ride, specially if you got kids. Now if this thing will run on sea water, then we’ll be all set.

Here are the specs for you speed freaks:

VEHICLE TYPE: front-engine, 4-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 5-door wagon
ESTIMATED PRICE AS TESTED: $61,900 (estimated base price: $54,000)
