2009 Infiniti G37, M35 Lease Rates – December 2009

logo_infinitiUPDATE: Full listing of all G37 December rates is out! Check it out! They all look very good this month considering the 2010 model should be coming in January. If anyone in your home is a current IFS customer, you should also qualify for the loyalty cash, making things a bit sweeter.

My Take: I know, its kind of weird that I split the 2009 and the 2010 M35s, but I thought it might make better sense to sort them by years instead of model. Either way, I don’t think you will have a tough time keeping up with my inconsistancies. Haahaa. Anyway, money factors are low now on the 2009s. I think there’s some cash on the M35s right as well, so take advantage of that. Just a general rule of thumb, if you see any marketing or dealer cash, it’s probably not available for leasing. IFS hasn’t really allowed much (or any) of the marketing/dealer available for leasing. There should be loyalty cash available to help. G37s 2010 models should be rolling in around January, so I think now is probably going to be the better time to get one than when the 2010s roll out. There are exceptions to this, however, I generally see the lease rates get really bad for remaining 2009s because banks would rather have you buy them than lease them.

2010 Infiniti FX35, M35 Lease Rates – December 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: I’m a bit pissed off that Inifiniti did not show up at the LA Auto Show. I need some photos! Anyway, Here are some of the 2010 offerings. Surprisingly enough, the 2010 M is already getting HUGE drop in MF. The residual is weak as heck though, so that would explain why. Lower residual values now may actually be a good thing when the economy recovers in a few years. As we get out of this recession, we may start seeing the depreciation of these cars slow down, making them worth more than their payoffs. This is all hypothetical of course, if we fall into a “W” recession, expect values to keep dropping.

09 Infiniti M Lease Rates – June 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: The residual value on the M are certainly lower than desired, but at least it is more inline with the actual car’s value. This is a solid Lease-to-Buy candidate, however, I suspect IFS has a better APR for purchases (0.9 for 48 months). There’s also an absurd amount of lease cash, loyalty and dealer cash on this ride, click here to find out more.

Here’s a hypothetical scenario for ya. Lets say I’m shopping around for the M35 and I pick this one out:

2009 M35 + Tech at $50,120 MSRP. The invoice price is $46,129. Since I am an existing IFS customer, I would get the $2500 loyalty cash. Now if you aren’t a customer, there’s a $2500 conquest cash, so either way you will get one. Then, there is $1000 in loyalty lease cash. There is also another $1000 for models without the extra fancy tech packages, but since the one I just picked has it, I don’t qualify. Now there’s another $5000 cash which I will assume the dealer is willing to split with me 50/50. So all-in-all, if the dealer sells the car at invoice + the rebates, we’re looking at a sale price of $40129. Assuming this is the case, 39-months, 10k miles (because I would lease-to-buy this ride) here are the payments I’d be looking at:

Monthly: $458 + (9.25% CA tax) = $500.

Inception fees would be $500 for the 1st month payment, $595 for bank fee, $45 for the doc fee, $8.25 for the tire tax and around $400-$500 bucks for DMV reg maybe?!? For a total of $1600-1700 due at signing.

Of course, all of this is hypothetical, but it does give decent idea as to what you could push for.

09 Infiniti M Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: The 36-month lease seems to be the better deal on the M35 this month compared to 48-month lease. I’m no seeing any dealer or customer cash on the M35 this month, however, I’m get the feeling invoice or less is fairly reasonable since M35 don’t sell as well as the Gs, FX or even the EX. Last March’s M sales figures were just shy of 900 units, whereas nearly 2900 Gs were sold on the same month. See what I mean? Anyway, a little FYI for Infinitis…you have to add 1% for 12k mile leases and 2% for 10k mile leases instead of 2% and 3% respectively.

09 Infiniti M Lease Rates – March 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: Mike, this one is for you…Since we’ve been discussing alternatives to the 3-series, 5-series, C-Class and E-Class, I proposed a couple of choices such as the Acura TL, Audi A6 and Infiniti G37 sedans. However, if those are not to your liking, here are some rates for the M35 I came across, which seems to be getting some decent discounts. It might be worth looking into since Infiniti is offering $2000 loyalty cash on both the 08 and 09 models, plus another $1500 on the 08 model. It’s about the same size as a E-Class and the crash test results came out to be “good” on the government’s IIHS website.

November 2008 Lease Rats for 08 Infiniti M35 and 09 Infiniti FX

My Take: The M35 seems to have a lot of rebates available so you can probably a get a hefty discount. One thing keep in mind is that the M35 leases better at the 36 month and 48 month terms due to a discount on the money factor. There is also 0.9% financing for up to 72 months so that is also a good alternative to leasing. The FX isn’t seeing much of a discount or any lease support at the moment. Still a relatively new SUV, so I’m not very surprised. I would recommend holding out until next year, to see if the numbers improve.

October 2008 Lease Rate for 08/09 Infiniti M35, FX35, QX56

My Take: A lot going on at Infiniti this month…there’s about $4000 loyalty cash and $2000 lease cash for the FX35. While the M35 has $6000 dealer and $1500 sell down cash available. Edmunds suggest that the TMV price is a whopping $10k below MSRP. That’s freaking cheap! Unfortunately, I don’t think you can get that much off MSRP if you finance or lease, so take my lowest estimate with “a grain of salt”. However, invoice + $1500 cash shouldn’t be too outrageous of an asking price. Speaking of financing, 0.9% APR is available for up to 72 months in case you want to buy this car. Couple things to note, the M35 & F35 lease best at 36 months and possibly 39 months (I don’t know the rates for that term unfortunately) It is a good time to buy or lease Infiniti folks, no question about it.

Infiniti Special Financing for 2008 Models

If you missed out on Infiniti’s August lease rates and special financing, they have decided to extend their 0% and 0.9% financing on their 2008 EX, G, M and QX models.

Models offering 0% financing for 72 months include the EX and QX.

Models offering 0.9% financing for 60 months include G35 sedan, G37 coupe, M35 and M45.

Unfortunately, the 09 FX are not included in these special offers.

Leasing a 2008 model will become less and less attractive as we near the end of the year.  Since special financing is available, financing a purchase is the wiser financial decision. No MF will be low enough to beat 0% financing. It’s a interest free loan! If that isn’t good enough reason to consider a purchase, I don’t know what is.

Offer ends 9/30.

On a side note, GM extended their Employee Pricing offer until 9/30 as well. I know, who cares right? Well, you might want to if you are considering a roadster. GM may be pulling the plug on the Sky and Solstice because the platform in which they are built on is not “profitable”. For car nuts like myself, this is significant news because these two cars have a lot of “potential” in the aftermarket world. It may even be possible that these two cars’ resale value may go up in the near future because super fanboy (and girls) may want to buy them for modding.
