2012 Volkswagen Lease Rates – November 2011

VW numbers are kind of “blah” this month. lower residuals are pretty much across the board. Money factors didn’t exactly drop to compensate either. Check out last month’s numbers here. To make matters worse, no lease cash on anything! So is there a silver lining in all of this? Yes there is. 0% to 1.9% financing for up to 60 months for select models. No lease can beat 0% financing. Period.

  1. Just leased a 2012 VW Jetta SE for $269/Month for 36 months – $0 drive off with 35 remaining payments. Includes tax and “safe lease” protection of $15 per month.

    MSRP = $21,060
    Gross Cap Cost $18,690
    Plus Acq fee of $625, SAFE LEASE $595 AND THEFT DET $229 =
    Adjusted Cap Cost of $20,139
    Residual value (36 months, 10k yr) $12,004 (is that .596?)
    Money factor is .00055
    The Calculator shows the payment to be over $600? Must be a bug?
    Actual payment is $268.28 per month, $0 drive off, 35 payments at $268.28
    $268.25 x 35 Payments = $9388.75/36 = 260.79

    I think we got a great deal – can someone comment on this???? THANKS!

  2. It’s an okay lease. I think you shouldn’t have paid for the safe lease protection and the theft det. theft det is pointless since there’s GAP. safe lease may or may not be worth it depending on your needs. I don’t think its worth it, but it depends on how well you take care of your car. It is only a 10k miles per year lease so wear and tear should be minimal. I get a payment of $238 before taxes. Not sure how you got $600. In any case, without the safe lease and theft det, the lease was getting a 97 RWG rating on my calculator which is very good.
