2011 Mazda Lease Rates – February 2011

Wow, check out the Mazda3 s Hatchback Sport! Insane residual, low money factor. Lots of zoom-zoom for very little cash! I smell a new king of the Round-Up! If you go with a 12,000 mile lease, the numbers get even more interesting. 12k is recommended since Mazda’s bumper-to-bumper warranty is only 36/36k miles. I leased one back in 2004 for 48 months, which was a bad idea. I was quite fortunate since I didn’t have any problems that required major repairs, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing that. The CX9 should get an honorable mention in the Round-Up this month as well since it’s a good deal as well.

  1. Why did you recommend the 12k miles lease but then you posted ones for 15k miles? Don’t the residuals change according to the miles? thanks

    • @dee. 15k residual are usually how the bank distributes them to dealers. If you want 12k miles per year, you can add 2% to the residual listed above.

  2. Here is a deal that I got my brother:

2011 CX-9 Grand Touring AWD with Moonroof and Bosse pkg, Nav Pkg, Grand touring power liftgate pkg, etc

    MSRP: $39,950
Selling Price: $ 37,163 (invoice – $1000 incentive). Settled for invoice, because they did solid on fees.

Fees: Acq fee $595 (NO markup), doc $230, title, inspection = total due at signing $988. Mazda’s sign and drives covers 1st payment.

    Term: 36 months with 12k/yr

Residual: 54% (I though it was higher, but manager showed me his tables, only 1% more for 12k)

    Money factor: 0.0009
    Monthly payment w/ 6.25% tax = $485.79
