Hey all! Lease rates remain the same as July. The posted residual values are all CORRECT for this month. The Money Factors are incorrect for most models so please leave me a comment if you need confirmation. If you need residuals on any other term, please let me know.

A coworker of mine approached me last week looking to lease a 328i and got a quote for a loaded $45k coupe for $1000 drive-off, $588 a month (with LA tax). If this sounds kind of high to you, it’s because it is. BMW is charging a whopping 4.56% interest (.00019) on a 328i coupe right now. A similarly equipped G37 Journey would probably be $100 a month less. Just some food for thought.

Please note that the money factors below are not all incorrect. Just some of them are. UPDATE – BMW is offering $1000 cash towards the purchase or lease of a new BMW. You have to be a participant of the Drive for TEAM USA (similar to Ultimate Drive) in order to qualify. Why they don’t promote this more is beyond me. If I were a current BMW customer that is shopping for another BMW, I’d be hitting up this test drive in a heart beat! Imagine, 0.0003 MF reduction OR $1000 cash PLUS another $1000 from this test drive. SICK! Anyway, here’s the link if you would like to register: Drive for TEAM USA. I would love to do this, but the nearest dealer is 30 miles away and I’m not willing to make the drive. Specially since I’m not really in the market for a new BMW.

LeaseCompare has not officially released June’s BMW numbers on their Facebook page yet. But I managed to confirm the 3-series numbers and they remain the same as May’s. I think it should be safe to assume that June numbers remain unchanged for the rest of the line up. If anything changes, I will let you know.

Based on Angel Romero’s deal on a Z4, it looks like BMW is providing a FANTASTIC 24-month lease on these convertibles. If you are in the market for one, how is a good time. 24-month leases may feel a little bit short, but the one thing I do love about them is the fact that you can avoid a lot of the wear-n-tear costs that creep up on 36-month leases. Existing BMWFS customers should enjoy a 0.0003 discount on the money factor, making this lease an even SWEETER deal. You can make this even more appealing by adding some MSDs to drive the money factor down for more savings!

2011 models’ lease rates added.

LeaseCompare has only release the numbers for the 2012 models. Still looking for the 2011 models, so this list is incomplete. Personally don’t like any of the leases on the 2012 models right now. Discounts aren’t there, plus the residuals have come done quiet a bit compared to previous years. I would recommend inquiring about remaining 2011 models before considering a ’12 model since the discounts should be much better.

2011 BMW Lease Rates – April 2011

April numbers have changed a little, but some models have stayed the same. 2012 models have been introduced for a few new models, but I wouldn’t recommend getting into any of them at the moment. Residuals on 2011 models are still strong and their money factors are much lower, which equals a better deal. Overally, BMWs haven’t been leasing at the level Hondas and Infinitis have over the past 6 months. There are a few good deals to be had, but they are few and far between. I would recommend the 335d since the “eco credit” ($3500) should still be available, which makes this ride and EXCELLENT choice with today’s gas prices.

2011 BMW Lease Rates – March 2011

Some unusual adjustments were made by BMWFS this month. Some models received a bump in residual value (and increase in money factor), while others received a drop on the money factor (residuals remained the same). Looking at 1 and 3 series, it looks like the 128 is getting a little bit more of a discount (135i went a bit) while the 3 series seems to have gone up slightly.

Overall, I would say that BMW leases this month are somewhat hit-n-miss. I personally prefer having high residual and low mf. But if I can’t get that, I would rather have a lower residual and a low mf than a high residual with a high mf. This way, should I choose to buy the car at the end of my lease, my payoff will be lower. That rarely happens, but it’s always nice to have that option.

Speaking of BMWs…this past weekend, some punk kids in a 330i convertible decided to irritate me by cutting me off as we approach a stop light (which was odd since the lane next to me was open). Then they decided to further annoy me (for their own entertainment I guess) by driving 25mph as the light turned green. As I attempted to drive by them, they sped up…seriously…some people have nothing better to do with their time.

For the most part, BMW’s February lease rates remain unchanged. The biggest change only applies to lease terms longer than 48-months. Those terms get a healthy .00030 money factor reduction, but I still don’t recommend leasing a BMW longer than 3 years. Other than, lease rates are the same. I’ve been noticing a slight up-tick on the sale prices recently, but the month is still young, so I would recommend holding out until month-end to see if discounts become more aggressive. Expect lease rates to change next month.

LeaseCompare didn’t post any info on the 1-series and 3-series on their Facebook page, so that’s what’s missing here. Nevertheless, there have been major changes to BMW lease rates (residuals AND money factors), so you should reconfirm these numbers with your dealer. The M3 convertible’s MF is so low (0.0009), it almost looks like a typo. While the M3 sedan’s 36-month residual jumped like 6% (but it’s MF went out as well). This is a bit unusual to see, but definitely not uncommon. BMWFS has been known to adjust residuals from time to time. Anyway, the M3 convertible looks like the winner in my eyes this month, so if you have been waiting for one, this seems like your lucky month.
