2010 Infiniti FX35, M35 Lease Rates – December 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: I’m a bit pissed off that Inifiniti did not show up at the LA Auto Show. I need some photos! Anyway, Here are some of the 2010 offerings. Surprisingly enough, the 2010 M is already getting HUGE drop in MF. The residual is weak as heck though, so that would explain why. Lower residual values now may actually be a good thing when the economy recovers in a few years. As we get out of this recession, we may start seeing the depreciation of these cars slow down, making them worth more than their payoffs. This is all hypothetical of course, if we fall into a “W” recession, expect values to keep dropping.

2009/2010 Infiniti FX and EX Lease Rates – November 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: Overall, the lease rates look decent on the 2010 EX. 2009 EX residuals are a bit low, but so are the money factors; which is a good thing. I gather that you can probably get more of a discount on the 2009, but besure to crunch the numbers to really see which is the better deal. I would have the dealer work both the 2010 and 2009 price quotes to see how things shape up. As for the FX, I’m hearing $2000 rebate right now, so be sure to factor in the rebate into your negotiations. Numbers look a bit weak, but if you can get the 2009, the MF is pretty low so it might be worth look into.

2009 Infiniti EX, FX Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: As expected, the lease rates for the EX and FX are pretty solid. Compared to the competition (ML, Q5, Q7, X3 or X5), Infinitis are equipped and priced very reasonably. If you are shopping for a SUV this month, make sure to add the Infiniti’s into your list.

2009 Infiniti FX Lease Rates – September 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: As I was mentioning in the MB ML post, you should do a little comparing when shopping around. Some lease rates may looks pretty good, but when you factor in all the crazy fees, other models (you probably didn’t consider) may end up being the better bargain. Say you were shopping for the ML, then looked at the FX35 (a little bit smaller, but still a great SUV). As you start crunching numbers, you will notice that MB charges $1095 for their bank fee for most states, while IFS charges about $595. The FX35, well-equipped, will probably run you a bit cheaper too due to the lower money factor, even if the residual value is 1% less than the ML350. This is just an example, there are many other models to consider, such as the X5, MDX and the Q5/Q7 to name a few.

09 Infiniti EX, FX Lease Rates – May 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: I am not going to deal with the EX35 payments for now since I have only seen the rates for the BASE model, which are probably sold by now. Instead, I will focus on the FX35 AWD on this post. The effective interest rate for the FX35 AWD for 36-months sits at around 1.752% while the 48-month rate is at 2.016%. The BEST interest rate for a purchase loan being offered by IFS right now is 0.9% for up to 36-month and 2.9% from then on (up to 72 months). Seeing how residuals are somewhat low, I would flag this car as a Lease-To-Buy candidate. Not as good as the Mercedes have been these past few months, but close enough. There is about $4000 dealer cash available, but they won’t even let you use it on the special financing, so I would not be surprised to if they refuse to use it on leases. Before you ask if you used it for leases, I have one thing to say about that…”doesn’t matter”. It doesn’t matter because if they need to make a sale they will, so no point arguing about the rebates themselves. Just focus on determining your lowest and highest sale price (factoring in the rebat if you like) before you talk to your dealer. They won’t sell you the vehicle if they really can’t use the rebates anyway, so no point worrying about it.

08/09 Infiniti EX, FX Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: Nothing has changed this month on the EX35 or the FX35 leases. The rates are identical to last month’s numbers, which is rather disappointing because the marketing cash is gone as well. Instead, you get a whooping $500 sell down cash and that’s about it (only on the EX35). Not exactly what you wanted to hear, I know, but there is always next month!

09 Infiniti FX Lease Rates – March 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: There is around $3000 dealer cash available on the FX35 this month, so factor that into your negotiations. The rates are practically unchanged, so it isn’t any better than last months. Now, couple of things for you California residents. Our sales tax goes up April as I mentioned in a previous post, but our car registrations will ALSO go up (double) beginning May 19th. To top things off, we’re rasing our gasoline tax by another 12 cents. So yeah, think long and hard as to what car and when you plan to lease your next ride. We’re talking hundreds of dollars in savings if you pick the right one.

09 Infiniti FX/EX Lease Rates for February 2009

My Take: There is $3000 Marketing Cash available for the FX and another $2000 loyalty cash. Of course, you can’t combine that with the special financing that’s available (1.9% 36 months, 2.9% 48 months, 3.9% 60 months). Remember the amount of marketing cash you get is usually distributed at dealer’s discretion, but you can qualify for the entire loyalty cash if you qualify. Generally, most dealers will not give you the entire $3000 unless you are paying cash for the car. Just imagine if you qualify for both and are paying cash! You are guarantee at least $5000 off just from the manufacturer alone! The EX is still on the 2008 model year, so you can see why the residuals are so low. The money factor is practically nonexistant so I would certainly jump on this lease. Heck, you might even consider leasing this car even if you plan on buying the car. There is $5000 marketing cash here and another $500 sell down cash (compatible with special financing, 0.9% for 72 months) for both purchases and leases. Another thing you may want to consider is leasing for 48 months. The payments on some of the models are lower than the 36-month and your car will still be under warranty. The only thing you need to watch out for are the wear-n-tear costs. Because your lease runs longer, more stuff may need to be replaced.

DO NOT LEASE

Some of these leases are “border-line” DO NOT LEASE due to the low residual. But I think that in general, you’ll do fine leasing any of these models.
