logo_lexusMy Take: Here are the RX350’s lease rates for you Lexus RX lovers. I think the MF is a bit high, so you may want to wait a little bit to see if it drops down the road. Eventhough this is a 2010 model, you may be able to get some discounts off MSRP. Below invoice, however, is probably unlikely.

logo_lexusMy Take: I’m not digging the residual value on this ride. Way too low on the 36-month term. I am guessing Lexus is being more “realistic” with their residual values since many banks are getting nailed for inflating residual values (I’m looking at you Infiniti). In any case, the money factor, in my opinion, isn’t low enough to make it a great “Lease-to-Buy” candidate (3.24% APR). If you can secure a lower finance rate to buy this car, I would suggest doing that instead.

logo_lexusMy Take: Residual values are bit low for my taste, but the money factor is pretty decent, sitting at just around 2% APR. I didn’t bother posting the 48-month terms because the money factor jumps to .00265, so that’s a big no-no in my book.

logo_lexusMy Take: IS250 Automatics have a solid money factor this month. Money factor dropped from .00135 to a low .00040! Here’s the even better news! The residual stayed the same as March!! That is fantastic news for those that have been eagerly awaiting some lease support on the IS250s. If you are looking buy, there isn’t any special financing or cash rebates available, so you probably should lease or pay cash.

logo_lexusMy Take: January rates were much better for the IS-F (for both 08 and 09 models). I would recommend buying or skipping the lease this month. Hopefully they improved down the road.

UPDATE: Found some of the IS250 numbers and they look much worse than last months. The residual values have stayed the same, but the money factors went from .0002 to .00140 for the AWD model and .00135 for the RWD model. These are Lexus’ February sales figures for the IS: (2009) 2,147 sold, (2008) 3,906 sold. Difference: -42.7%. Sales were down almost 43% from last February, so maybe that will mean better leases for us in the coming months.

logo_lexusMy Take: I would strongly caution lessees to stay away from the RX350 this month because the numbers don’t look very good. The GS looks ok, but the residual values are too low. It could be a good “lease to buy” candidate, but the money factor would have to be slightly lower. Without incentives, I would recommend most people simply pass on both the GS and RX this month.

09 Lexus IS Lease Rates for February 2009

My Take: Question for the masses…Would you rather have an IS350 for $557 (assuming a $1000 under invoice sale price) a month for 48 months? OR would you rather have a C350 for $462 per month (assuming a $1000 under invoice sale price), also for 48 months? If your answer is C350, click here. Otherwise, if you want to go with the lower end IS250, this is not a bad car to lease right now. $400-ish will get you a IS250 that’s well equipped, just pay your inception fees upfront and you got it. OR you can always go with the Acura TSX which will probably come better equipped, for less.
