Oddly enough, IFS dropped the residuals and increased some money factors. That’s quite strange for the following reasons: 1) It’s June and numbers just changed in May 2) With the new Q coming. the G37 dropped residual and the money factor went up? 3) It’s freaking JUNE!!!

Anyway. the good news is that the G37 does have $2,500 Lease Cash so I’m sure a nice low sale price can fix the weird lease rates. Lease on brothers and sisters!

May numbers are odd. I’m seeing some increases in residual for cars such as the Azera and Genesis (with increased MFs). Others get no change in residual but increases in MF. Some get no change in residual and decrease in MF. Pretty much all over the place. The downside is that I am not seeing much in terms of cash incentives for leases (per Edmunds), but buying a Hyundai isn’t half bad. There are special interest rates and customer cash available right now. However, whether you would want to buy a Hyundai, that’s a whole different story.

Numbers this month are not as straight-forward as I was expecting. It’s safe to say the residuals have tanked, but Nissan hasn’t exactly reduced MFs for all those models across the board. As a matter of fact, they increased it for some and dropped it for others. Weird. In any case, not a complete lost cause. The Pathfinder and the Altima coupe got significant MF reductions which should help in the monthly payment department.

Everything remains the same as April except for the IS250. Its starting to look like Lexus is going to start making room for the 2014 IS real soon. The CT practically being given away interest free right now. Per my calculations, if you can secure the the lowest sale price (per TrueCar estimates) on a $35k CT, you are looking at a payment in the low $300s per month with inception fees due at signing. That’s pretty darn good if you ask me.
